Hi! My name is Mary Ann Lowe. For the pass 50 years I’ve always had a connection with animals and I love being around them. There was never a time in my life I’ve not had Pet’s in my house.
I have adopted over 20 animals including gold fishes , cats, rabbit and of course dogs! I’ve had beagles, German shepherds, and mostly stray dogs from the street. I believe all dogs deserve a home.
I provide their own space. I don’t believe in keeping an animal in cages. We also provide walks so that the dogs won’t feel so tense being coped up in one place for a long time.
I like to experience different characters in a dog. It’s wonderful to know that they have their own personality and I like spending time with animals.

I have 3 dogs of my own, two mongrels n one Belgian Malinois. One of my mongrels name Grey was lately diagnosed with stage 3 kidney failure n her blood count was at 4. She has not been eating for a few days no matter what I gave her. So the vet told us she needs blood transfusion immediately n that we had to find a donor. It was during the 2nd MCO n it was difficult to get to bring their dog to the vet to get their dog’s blood tested to find a suitable match. The vet had 1/2 bag of blood in their blood bank n the owner was kind enough to give us without a replacement. After the transfusion her blood went up to 7. She was very much in need of blood. I told the vet it’s difficult to get a donor at this point of time, it’s ok I’ll take her back n see what can be done. I knew from experience that liver is a good source of blood but it takes time to increase the blood count. So I goggle n found that beet root if consume as a drink increases the blood count faster. It was also safe for animals. So I gave her liver n beet root juice( 20 ml 4x a day) In three days when I went back to the vet her blood count increased from 7 to 10. After one week, to 13, then 21. Her kidney too is back to normal. She is now her own self, eating properly n barking away as she use to do. When she was at the vet, she was not eating, she was on drips n I felt so sad to see her locked up in the cage. So I told the doctor I’m taking her home, if she has to die let it be around people who love her. But with tender love n care, compassion she is all healed. If I had left her in the vet, I don’t think she would hv made it.
